Tamborine Mountain Distillery’s EUCALYPTUS GUMLEAF VODKA has been judged BEST IN THE WORLD in it’s category winning a GOLD MEDAL 94 points out of 100 at the Beverage Testing Institute Chicago.

News has just come in from America that Tamborine Mountain Distillery has won 2 GOLD & 1 SILVER medals creating history for three of it’s world class products:

 94 POINTS       EUCALYPTUS GUMLEAF VODKA.
 91 POINTS       LEMON MYRTLE VODKA.
 89 POINTS       FOREST PEPPERMINT VODKA.


“ This is the first time this has ever happened in Australia’s history by a true Australian company, owned, run, manufactured and bottled in Australia by Australians and  we’re damn proud of it” said an ecstatic Michael Ward
“This is an absolutely remarkable achievement when you are up against some of the biggest and best in the world” he said .

89 • Tamborine Mountain Distillery Forest Peppermint Vodka 500 ml.
Clear. Aromas of pine cone, mint cream, and pink peppercorns with a supple, dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body and a spicy after dinner fondant mint and fresh lacquered pine finish. Wild and wooly mint flavor that will pop in crafty cocktails. (tasted on Oct-21-2010)

91 • Tamborine Mountain Distillery Lemon Myrtle Vodka 500 ml.
Clear with a nickel cast. Bright, multidimensional lemon curd, lemon drop and verbena aromas and flavors with a supple, soft fruity-yet-dry medium-to-full body with a long, drying, peppery spice, herbal root, and wet limestone accented finish. A sensationally stimulating lemon flavored vodka. (tasted on Oct-21-2010)

94 • Tamborine Mountain Distillery Eucalyptus Gum Leaf Vodka 500 ml.
Clear. Pure, vibrant eucalyptus and menthol aromas with a soft, silky yet intense dry-yet-fruity medium full and an explosive Alpine menthol cough drop finish. Great vibrancy and purity with a fascinating old-time medicinal tonic quality; will be great in antique cocktails as a substitute for gin. (tasted on Oct-21-2010)

96 • Tamborine Mountain Distillery Bucku Whiskey Liqueur 375 ml.
Bright light amber color. Attractive and whisky nuanced aromas caramelized fruits and nuts, nutmeg and baking spices, peppercorns, straw, and honeycomb with a round, syrupy sweet full body and a tingling whisky barrel, chili pepper, and honeyed fruit finish. Bold and satisfying; sip on the rocks or creative clever cocktails. (tasted on Sep-22-2010)

95 • Tamborine Mountain Distillery Kurumba Rum Liqueur 375 ml.
Deep amber color. Vibrant rum barrel aromas of vanilla, caramelized fruits and roasted nuts, and baking spices have a hint of freshly glue wood with a round, syrupy sweet full body and a penetrating Coleman's fuel, varnish, and toffee accented finish. A ballsy liqueur with lots of assertive aged agricole rum qualities here that should express brilliantly in cocktails. (tasted on Sep-22-2010)

93 • Tamborine Mountain Distillery Quandong & Gentian Bitters Liqueur 500 ml.
Deep reddish mahogany color with a gray cast. Subtle and attractive aromas of Ludens cherry lozenge, black raspberry Jell-O, and bubble gum dust with a silky off-dry medium body and a nice melange of bitter, earthy roots and herbs and dried flowers. Delightful and in the style of aromatized wine; try a splash in sparkling wine. (tasted on Sep-22-2010)

87 • Tamborine Mountain Distillery Chai Liqueur 500 ml.
golden amber color. Bright aromas of ginger, cinnamon bark, cardamon, honeyed lemon and lemongrass with a very soft and silky off-dry light-to-medium body and a gentle, lightly peppery and snappy ginger and tea finish. A delicate, feminine liqueur. (tasted on Sep-22-2010)

91 • Tamborine Mountain Distillery Wild Forest Plum Liqueur 375 ml.
Bright electric scarlet color with a violet cast. Intriguing aromas of sweet pickled beets and spicy plum chutney with a vibrant, thick, sweet full body and a long, tangy citrus, cranberry sauce, peach and plum skin finish. Delicious and richly styled for cocktails. (tasted on Sep-28-2010)
